It was 1990. SNK was a successful developer in the arcades, and had been an early licensee for the NES. They decided they wanted a piece of the hardware market too, and they weren't going to do it half way. The result was the most powerful gaming platform created to that date. So powerful, that only now, the recent generation of consoles (Xbox, PS2, etc) can play ports of the NEO GEO games without compromise. In 1990 they released the Arcade MVS (Multi Video System), in the distinctive red cabinets, with as many as 6 games in 1 arcade machine!. They also released the Home AES (Advanced Entertainment System) console soon after, with the exact same quality games. This meant no inferior home 'versions', like on other contemporary consoles (Genesis, TG16, SNES), but the exact same gameplay, sounds and graphics of the arcade in your own home. The NEO GEO sported stereo sound, huge scaleable sprites and vivid artistic high resolution backgrounds with multiple layers of parallax scrolling.  It started with solid fighters like Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting, but they soon began to redraw the limits 2D gaming with some of the finest 2D action games ever made, like Samurai Shodown II, and Metal Slug. The game cartridges are huge, larger than VHS tapes, and some hardcover books. The last release for the venerable and powerful NEO GEO AES was Samurai Shodown V Special in 2004, making it the longest supported home game console in history. The system's fun and collectibility factor is off the scale, with pricing to match. The price of the system, and the prices of some of the games strike fear in the hearts of the uninitiated. Nevertheless, in my opinion, the NEO GEO AES is the Cadillac of game consoles, and the ultimate in playable collectivity. Once upgraded, the NEO GEO AES is the centerpiece of any gamer's collection, not just to collect, but to enjoy as well. Like the early NEO GEO advertisements said, "Why be a Weenie, when you can be a Hot Dog?".

OSG can often repair NEO GEO AES systems, suffering from many different failures. Estimates are free and no obligation. Repairs are always much more reliable than replacing with another used condition console. If the estimate is approved, and repairs are performed, repairs come with a 90 day warranty. We are so confident in the quality of the NEO GEO repair work OSG can perform, that we're willing to give a warranty that is second to none.

OSG can upgrade NEO GEO AES's with the latest custom OSG version of the official Universe BIOS, installed in a socket, to make future revisions of this fantastic upgrade user installable. The Universe BIOS allows EVERYTHING an AES can do, EVERYTHING the arcade NEO GEO MVS can do, and a mix and match of both if you want. English text AND red blood/bounce? No problem. The old Debug BIOS (common in older modded NEO GEO's) can't do that, and can't do many other features as well. The Universe BIOS gives you total control over the games you run on your NEO. Unlimited credits, cheat codes, bug fixes, and hidden characters, all a controller button press, menu choice away. Best. Upgrade. Ever.  We can also perform the full suite of AV modifications, including S-Video, composite video, and stereo.

OSG can bring it's experience with the NEO GEO and thousands of other repaired game consoles to your game console.
